Modou Lamin Jadama, a professional Gambian footballer for Hartford Athletic in the USL Championship and former MLS star, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, at the age of 30.
Colo-Colo, a Chilean professional football club, confirmed the news of their ex-player Modou Jadama’s demise on Wednesday through their official social media platform.
They stated,
“We mourn the sensitive passing of former Colo-Colo player Modou Jadama, who defended the Eternal Champion Shirt between 2013 and 2016.“
Modou Jadama, who joined Colo-Colo in 2013, made his professional debut for Colo-Colo against Santiago Wanderers in February 2015, winning the Santo Tomas Cup.

The Late Modou Jadama Began His Sports Career In 2012 At The Age Of 18!
The late Gambian footballer Modou Jadama started developing his passion for football when he was young.
Moreover, with his outstanding football skills, Modou began pursuing his professional career in football by joining a professional football club named Universidad de Chile, based in Santiago, Chile, at 18, where he served for a year.
After gaining experience from Universidad de Chile, Modou Jadama also began playing for Colo-Colo in 2016 before joining Coquimbo Unido, with who he played in Chile’s second division during the 2016-2017 season.
Similarly, with his amazing skills, Jadama began his career in the USL with Tulsa Roughnecks FC in 2017, where he played 34 matches and scored two goals.
In 2018, he signed up with Portland Timbers of MLS and further split his time between his MLS and USL teams.
Modou Jadama made 25 appearances, contributing a goal and an assist in his first season with the Portland Timbers.
Likewise, he continued to perform as a regular starter for the Timbers’ Team 2 in 2019.
