Sophie Clarkowski, the daughter of Kristi Goss and Brian Clarkowski, was born on April 12, 2000, in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Her parents raised her with two brothers, Robbie and Joe, and a sister, Nora.
She was a dedicated member of the UCLA swim & dive program from 2018 to 2022.
Sophie left her mark as a hardworking and accomplished athlete at UCLA.
She showed consistency and resilience in the pool, competing at the Pac-12 Championships in all four of her collegiate seasons.
Her contributions to the team were recognized twice at UCLA’s end-of-year banquets, where she received prestigious team awards.
Beyond her athletic achievements, Sophie excelled academically, majoring in psychobiology. She chose UCLA for its world-class education, fulfilling her dream of becoming a Bruin.
Outside of swimming, Sophie enjoys spending time with loved ones, participating in water sports on Minnesota lakes, taking beach trips, and experimenting with smoothie recipes.
