Mickie Began Her Wrestling Career In 1999 As Alexis Laree

Born on August 31, 1979, Mickie Laree James began her wrestling career in 1999 on the independent circuit under the ring name Alexis Laree.

She gained national attention in 2002 when she joined NWA: Total Nonstop Action (TNA), where she was part of a stable called The Gathering.

James made her WWE main roster debut in 2005 and was placed in a storyline with Trish Stratus, portraying an obsessed fan turned stalker.

This storyline culminated at WrestleMania 22, where James won her first WWE Women’s Championship.

Throughout her WWE career, she won the Women’s Championship five times and the Divas Championship once, making her one of the few women to hold both titles.

After being released from WWE in 2010, James returned to TNA, where she became a three-time TNA Knockouts Champion.

She briefly returned to WWE in 2013 as a guest trainer, then officially returned in 2016 before being released in 2021.

The “trash bag incident” involving Mickie James occurred in April 2021 after she was released from WWE.

When WWE sent her belongings back, they were packed in a trash bag inside a box with her name on it.
