A 24-year-old from Chase City, VA, Marquis Revis, passed away after battling with Diabetic Coma for three weeks.
Marquis was a basketball enthusiast and a kind soul who seemed to go on too soon.
Virginia Community Mourns the Loss of Marquis Revis!
Marquis Revis was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 9. He has been battling the disease since he was young.
Despite the disease from an early age, Marquis managed to live quite a life with basketball and other activities.
While not much personal or academic detail about Marquis is known, what is known is that he was a kind soul who left early.
According to his dears ones, on 11, 2025, Marquis became seriously ill and was airlifted to MCV, where he was diagnosed with a diabetic coma.
Following the illness, Marquis and his family hoped for the best, but three weeks later, their hope was taken to heaven.
Marquis was preceded in death by his mother, Cydni Revis, with whom he now seems to be reunited.
While Marquis seems to be the helping member of the Chase City, Virginia, repaying his debts, the community has launched a fundraising campaign to support his family.
A community member from Chase City, Virginia, Vashanua Smithson, has created a GoFundMe campaign where anyone can make a donation.
According to the organizer, the funds collected from the GoFundMe campaign will go directly to the family to help them pay the pending medical bill and funeral expenses.
As of now, the family has not announced the funeral service details for Marquis, while they still seem to be collecting funds for the rituals.
While Marquis’ death has indeed brought grief to the Revis family, the whole community seems to be mourning in sorrow and expressing their support.
