Tayon Holloway, a defensive back for Louisville, has been suspended after being arrested on charges of first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree domestic violence assault.

According to a police report from WDRB, Holloway is accused of attacking a woman (alleged girlfriend) in an apartment near campus after she asked him to stop smoking marijuana.
The police report also stated that Holloway threw the woman off the bed, punched her in the face, and then allegedly placed a pillow over her face when she tried to fight back.
The alleged girlfriend had a cut on her upper lip and swollen eyes.
Holloway pleaded not guilty in Jefferson Circuit Court on 18 November, and his bond was set at $10,000.

According to the citation, Cardinals linebacker Jurriente Davis was listed as a witness to the incident.
20-year-old Holloway is a defensive back from Virginia Beach, Virginia, standing 6 feet 0.5 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds.
He had a standout game against South Carolina with eight tackles and a TFL.
Holloway also recorded three tackles each against Pittsburgh and Syracuse and two against App State and Miami.
Before college, Holloway was a highly-rated player at Green Run High School, earning four-star status and ranking among the nation’s top cornerbacks.
In his senior season, he had 46 receptions for 959 yards and 17 touchdowns, earning first-team All-Beach District honors as both a wide receiver and defensive back.
