Denver Broncos wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey’s parents, Chevette Humphrey and Keith Wade, always knew that football came naturally to him.
His mother named him after the legendary basketball player Michael Jordan and hoped he would excel in basketball and he did it.

Yet the idea behind the name was simple. According to her, LJ’s elder brother, Terry, wanted him to be named after Michael Jordan.
Chevette didn’t want to copy “His Airness,” so she devised an alternative: Lil’Jordan. “We were trying to speak it into existence,” she added.
In the same interview, the young athlete’s mom said, “I knew my kid was good, but I didn’t know he was this good.”
