Ali Reza’s training required sacrifices from his hungry family, who survived in a low-financial household. During an interview, he was in tears while mentioning the problematic phase in his journey.
He couldn’t have dinner with his family as he needed chicken breasts for bodybuilding, and his family ate modest food.
One day, when Ali Reza was heading to the training, his wife told him they didn’t have chicken breasts. Then, he told his wife that God is gracious.
Later, he returned home and saw his wife had already cooked chicken breasts for him. He asked her why she was joking when he wasn’t in the mood for fun.
His wife asked for a minute and called their children, who told him not to be angry at their mother and explained they had broken their piggy banks and bought him chicken breasts.
Although the bodybuilder lived in a low-income family, they shared a close bond and understood each other’s needs. He used to work out often with his two children.
His painful journey helped him to become Mr. Afghanistan and earn two medals at the World Bodybuilding Championships.

Mr. Afghanistan Ali Reza Asahi is more than a bodybuilder; his dream was to bring pride to his country.
However, the Taliban looks down on the sport of bodybuilding, and athletes are required to have their bodies covered while in training in Afghanistan.
As a member of the Afghan community, Ali Reza was able to raise his national flag with a lot of hardship and dedication.
Pain and happiness were hidden in his tears when he earned the World Bodybuilding Championships.
When I was a child, I used to see World Champions doing that while their national anthem was played. That was my dream.

Afghanistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (AFBBF) shared the passing news of Ali Reza Ashai through Facebook, but they haven’t disclosed his actual death cause.
His death marks a significant loss for the Afghan athletic world, and his achievements served as a beacon of perseverance and dedication amid challenging circumstances.
His deceased body will be taken tomorrow, Friday, at 9 am from Golai Red Bridge, Ghaleh Wazir Mosque of Imam Zama,n and will be taken to the tomb of Karate Sakh.
