Three-Time AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley’s Father, Dan, Shocks Fans by Attending His Match While His Mother Remains His Source Of Strength

Dan shocked the wrestling fans with his first-ever appearance close to the AEW World Champion on open wrestling TV.

Cincinnati, Ohio’s American professional wrestler and actor Jon Moxley had a challenging upbringing. His father wasn’t present because he worked far from home.

His mother worked hard to raise him and his sister, significantly impacting him.

Highlights

  • Jon Moxley grew up with his mother and sister while his father worked far from home.
  • His family struggles affected him badly and led to an undesirable relationship with drugs and alcohol.
  • He and Renee Paquette will be the most incredible parents to their daughter, Nora.

Jon Moxley is the leader of the Death Riders stable, formerly known as the Blackpool Combat Club.

He holds the AEW World Champion in his record-setting fourth reign and will face Powerhouse Hobbs during next week’s “AEW Dynamite Maximum Carnage.”

During the “AEW Dynamite,” Hoobs won the Casino Gauntlet match to secure a future AEW World Championship shot.

Previously, they fought for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship less than a year at the “AEW Dynamite,” where Hobbs suffered a legitimate injury during the match.

However, the competition is healthy in All Elite Wrestling, keeping the WWE on its toes and providing options for the talent if they aren’t happy with their current situation.

Jon rose to stardom during his tenure with WWE, where he performed under the ring name Dean Ambrose from 2011 to 2019.

He signed a developmental deal with WWE in April 2011 and debuted his main roster at the Survivor Series pay-per-view event alongside Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in 2012.

Jon Moxley’s Father Made A Rare Appearance In AEW Dynamite

39-year-old Jonathan David Good was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on December 7, 1985. His mother raised him alongside his sister.

His father, Dan Good, worked far from their family home, so his mother mainly catered and provided for the family.

Jon’s family struggles affected him badly. Although he makes his family his primary goal, he is involved in an undesirable relationship with drugs and alcohol.

He has maintained his personal life private but appreciates his mother for trying hard to accommodate her kids.

He is an avid fan of professional wrestling and escaped from his rough upbringing by watching videos and reading stories about wrestling’s earlier days.

Dan shocked the wrestling fans when he appeared to start the show for his son’s match against Hangman Adam Page in January 2023.

It was his first-ever appearance close to the AEW World Champion on open wrestling TV.

Nonetheless, the professional wrestler lives a minimalistic lifestyle. During his training years with WWE, he had only a bag of clothes and some pocket money.

He supported himself while working minimum-wage jobs in warehouses, restaurants, and factories but constantly got fired for skipping work if he was booked to wrestle a match that clashed with his job.

Jon refers to himself as a loner and has often incorporated into his onscreen character. He would have likely become a forest firefighter if he didn’t pursue wrestling.

Jon Moxley’s Family Bond: Wife Renee And Daughter Nora Are His Pillars Of Strength

Jon Moxley began dating Canadian-American television personality Renee Jane Paquette in 2013. They became close friends while working with WWE and went on their first date at a bar in Las Vegas.

Their relationship was made public on social media in 2016 and teased in WWE.

Jon and Renee married at their Las Vegas home in an impromptu ceremony on April 9, 2017, with a pastor they found on Yelp.

The Duo got married for $500, which included a tip, with a white dress hanging in the closet, and Jon stormed up after her, asking to marry her right then and there.

That’s the way to do it I feel. You spent so much money trying to cater things and get people somewhere and booking a venue and blah blah blah. It’s like you really just want it to be you guys. You want it to be nice and simple.

Renee Paquette

The married couple welcomed a daughter, Nora Murphy Good, born on June 13, 2021. They are going to make the most incredible parents ever.

Their daughter’s name was picked out early, a tribute to Renee’s grandmother from Nova Scotia. Her pregnancy was easy as she wasn’t sick and had been able to work out the whole time.

It’s truly insane what our bodies do. They go to battle for us and our babies! I was so swollen after having Nora, 24 hours of labor, and then a c-section rocked my world. But the recovery is fascinating.
I kept wondering what it would feel like on the other side of pregnancy, and while it’s certainly not easy and my nipples would like to be be emancipated from my body, we did the damn thing.
