Jack Del Rio Arrested For Three Days After Crashing Car Into Fence While Intoxicated, Resigns As Senior Advisor

61-years-old, Jack Del Rio was driving his car in the street at S. Segoe Rd. at Keating Terrace, Madison, Wisconsin.

It was around 12:33 Am on Friday, November 8, 2024. The Wisconsin Badgers senior advisor’s vehicle hit a street sign, broke a fence, and rested in a yard.

Officers of the Madison police department were dispatched to the area of S. Segoe Road and Keating Terrace at 12:35 a.m., 2 minutes after the crash.

Similarly, the Madison Police Department reported that witnesses directed the officers to the Rip, who was walking away from the catastrophe.

Furthermore, while examining Jack Del Rio, the officer found that he showed signs of impairment. Rio admitted to driving when intoxicated. Moreover, no one was harmed, and no injuries were reported.

Jack Del Rio Resigned From His Post As Senior Advisor Of Wisconsin Badgers After His Release From Confinement

On Monday, November 11, 2024, Jack Del Rio released a statement stating that he is grateful for the opportunity he experienced at the University. Jack Del Rio said,

I’m grateful to Coach Fickell and the University of Wisconsin for the opportunity to work with such a talented coaching and support staff and some of the best young football players in the country.

He further added that he has decided to step away from his position as the team’s senior advisor so that the players and staff can focus on the remainder of the season.

On the other hand, the University of Wisconsin also issued a statement revealing that it was aware of the incident, takes matters like this seriously, and is continuing to gather information.

After the University statement, during a news conference on Monday, Wisconsin Badgers head coach Luke Fickell stated,

He’s going to move forward and he’s going to resign and move on.But it’s a tough situation, decisions that all of us have to be able to take full responsibility for. So, that’s what Jack will do and we’ll continue to move forward.
