When Jackson Jobe’s parents, Brandt and Jennifer, decided to start a family, they planned how to balance his golf career with family time.
They moved from Denver to Dallas so Brandt could quickly come home on Sunday nights and be back for tournaments by Tuesday, allowing time for dinners and school pickups.
They traveled to tournaments nationwide until Jackson was in kindergarten and Brittan was in second grade.
Brandt acknowledged that playing sports at a high level takes a lot of time and commitment, which can be selfish.
He felt it was hard to balance being a dedicated father and pursuing his career, but he hoped he would find a way to do so.
Regarding Jackson’s mother, Jennifer Lukens attended Hempstead High School, originally from Dubuque, Iowa. She currently lives in Dallas, Texas.
