Hayden Henderson was ranked 42nd among left-hand pitchers in Georgia.

Hayden Henderson, a dedicated Locust Grove High School Wildcat baseball team member, has sadly passed away.

A Class of 2022 left-handed pitcher from Locust Grove High School in Georgia, Henderson, was recognized as a “High Follow” prospect.

Standing at 5’11” and weighing 158 lbs, Hayden showcased his potential by earning national and state rankings of 699 and 581 respectively.

He was ranked 42nd among left-hand pitchers in Georgia.

Known for his command and ability to generate movement on his pitches, Hayden was a key player for his travel team, USA Prime.

Locust Grove’s Baseball Player Hayden Henderson Passed Away At 20

Left-hand pitcher Hayden Henderson suddenly died in February 2025 at 20. However, the exact death cause has not been mentioned yet by his family.

LGHS Wildcat Baseball’s admin Tabby Lee took to his official Facebook handle, poured a small tribute to Hayden, and sent prayers to his family. She wrote,

We are deeply saddened by the loss of an alumni, Hayden Henderson, a beloved member of our baseball family. Hayden was not only a talented athlete but also a cherished teammate and friend. Our thoughts are with Hayden’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace. I have attached the meal train link below for anyone who would like to help the Henderson Family during this difficult time.

Stephanie Winn Miller, owner of 7M Solutions LLC and Owner at Simply Cowboy, also took to her Facebook handle and sent prayers to Henderson’s family. She wrote,

Hayden Henderson was a beautiful young man and was a huge part of our lives over the years along with his parents and brothers. We have done a lot of life with them in our baseball world. Baseball brought us together as a family. We are the Bandits!!! We love you Haydog!

In addition, the fundraising campaign has been organized on MEALTRAIN.COM, a food chain and donation site.

Around 84 people have already donated, and over $8,455 has been raised.

Diane Lancaster Mitchell, the food service account manager at Gordos, LLC, also shared the fundraising event and requested that everyone donate. She wrote,

There is a food chain and donation site that has been set up to help Rita Fay Yates Maxwell family, The Hendersons during this difficult time. If you can be a blessing to her family during this time it would be greatly appreciated. They are completely devastated with the loss of their Son and her Grandson Hayden.

Other close ones and relatives have also poured their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Henderson’s family to stay strong in this challenging time.

Hayden will be remembered forever for his unforgettable contributions to Locust Grove High School’s baseball team.

Hayden Henderson, 20, was born in 2004 in Georgia, United States, to his mother, Heather Henderson, and his father, Nick Henderson.

Currently, they are devasted by the shocking death news of Hayden Henderson. Recently, Heather took a photo of Hayden to her official Facebook handle and posted it as a tribute.

On August 14, 2022, Heather wished Hayden an 18th birthday through her Facebook handle with the caption,

On December 10, 2024, Hayden’s parents celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in New York. Heather took to her Facebook and shared a glimpse of the celebration with the caption,
