The felony d*ug case against Sean “Diddy” Comb’s alleged d*ug mule, Brendan Paul, was dismissed seven months after he managed to avoid jail time.

Brendan Paul, 25, born in 1999, is originally from Shaker Heights, Ohio, and still resides in the state. His current address is Chagrin Falls, near Cleveland.

Highlights

  • According to Brendan Paul’s attorney, Brian Bieber, his case was formally dismissed on December 17, 2024.
  • The hearing, scheduled for May 17, 2025, has also been canceled.
  • Earlier, Brendan Paul was arrested by police from Opa-Locka Airport in Miami in a d*ug case.

He attended a private boarding school in New England, Brewster Academy, for the first three years of high school before moving to Hawken High, a private day school in Ohio, for his senior year.

Paul attended Syracuse University in New York for his freshmen and sophomore years before transferring to Fairmont State University for his final two years.

He played Division I school basketball from 2018 to 2020 before moving to the Division II team in 2020, playing an average of under 10 minutes per game.

Former Basketball Player Brendan Paul Avoided Jail Time In Drug Case

The d*ug case filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs alleged d*ug mule Paul has managed to avoid both jail time and probation by entering a six-month d*ug diversion program.

Brian also said that Brendan accepted the prosecutor’s offer to permit him to enter the diversion program, which, after completion, will result in the dismissal of the case against him.

Federal sources also insist that Paul did not strike any deal with federal prosecutors in Diddy’s case.

Paul’s hearing, scheduled for Friday, May 17, 2025, has been officially canceled.

As for Paul’s boss, Diddy, US District Judge Arun Subramanian denied Diddy’s request for bail following a hearing.

At the time, lawyers for the rapper argued that a $50 million bail package they proposed would be sufficient to ensure Combs does not flee and does not try to intimidate prospective trial witnesses.

Subramanian cited direct evidence of Combs’ violence, referring to Diddy beating ex-Cassie in a 2016 hotel surveillance video and a serious risk of witness tampering in denial.

Paul was caught by police on March 25, 2024, at Opa-Locka Airport in Miami and was charged with c*caine and m*rijuana possession. However, the marijuana charge was eventually dropped.

Following Paul’s arrest, Diddy was seen stressfully pacing outside the Opa Locka airport in Miami Monday afternoon.

According to a representative for the Miami-Dade State, his plea deal was a standard offer to a nonviolent defendant with no priors.

Brendan’s arrest came the same day the Department of Homeland Security raided Diddy’s two homes, though it has not been confirmed whether the two incidents are connected.

Paul, a former Syracuse men’s basketball player, was named Diddy’s drug mule in Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones’ $30 million lawsuit against the music mogul.

Jones claimed he witnessed Paul acquiring and distributing d*ugs to Diddy, as well as his entourage. Those D*ugs allegedly include “ecstasy, c*caine, GHB, ketamine, m*rijuana, mushrooms, and tuci.”

The lawsuit also alleged Paul transported or intended to transport d*ugs in airplane baggage on flights between Los Angeles, Miami, Virginia, the Caribbean, and London three times in December 2022, April 2023, and November 2023.
