The Verrado High School community is mourning the loss of Tatum Amery, a former cheerleader from the Class of 2021.
She passed away at a very young age, leaving behind her family, friends, and a young son, who just turned two in April 2025. The family has not yet disclosed the cause of the death.
Tatum celebrated her son’s final birthday at Wildlife World Zoo in Arizona, along with her close circle.

According to many of her friends and family members, Tatum was known for her bright personality and her care for those who were close to her.
An Unfortunate Event At Such A Young Age
She was not only a cheerleader during her school year, but was also part of the Softball roster from April 2019.
Her family shared the news with heavy hearts. Her close family member, Ashley Amery, wrote, “It doesn’t seem real. We desperately want to wake up from this nightmare. Our baby girl is with Jesus. We love you forever and ever big sissy. We’ll see you soon, my love. Please pray for all of us and her precious boy.”

Friends and relatives have also been expressing their grief and support online in Ashley’s Post. Yvette Robles said, “Ashley, I’m at a loss for words! My prayers are with you all. May God give you strength.”
Avis Kutzman added, “It’s so hard to understand this and wish it could be different. Please God, wrap your arms around us and help to find the strength to go forward. Tatum, you know how loved you are and Tenne will be so well taken care of.”
Others offered similar messages, asking for prayers for the family and especially for Tatum’s son, who is just two. Elizabeth Rivera shared, “Our hearts grieve with you and your family. Lifting you all up before the throne of Grace.”
Her passing has left a deep void in not just her family but the whole Cheer Club and Verrado High School.
