Former Mather High School Basketball Player Randy Hiller, Cancer Survivor, Dies in Car Accident

Randy Hiller, aka Batman, was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident, and he was the only one to get injured.

Chicago, IL, Randy Hiller, a resilient man who had previously survived cancer and motorcycle accidents, passed away in a car accident.

Hiller was born to his father, Richard, and his mother, Mary Jarrett Hiller, in Chicago, Illinois.

Hiller grew up with his sisters Doris Hiller and Tammy Teresa Dickey and one brother Richard Hiller.

Sadly, his sister Tammy Teresa Hiller Dickey, born on January 1, 1965, in Campton, KY, passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 58.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Dickey, and one son, Chad Dickey.

A cancer survivor, Randy Hiller, lost his life on February 10, 2025, after he was involved in a tragic car accident.

However, the exact cause of the accident has not yet been mentioned, as further investigation is ongoing.

LimeLife Beauty Guide and long-time friend of Randy, Lisa Friedman Jarosz, took to her Facebook handle to announce the tragic news. She wrote,

Randy Hiller, I told you just yesterday how overwhelmed I was and I couldn’t take much more. Not one day went by over the past 3 years , that you didn’t check in on me and ask about Louie. I cried and you sent me funny dog TikToks at all hours of the night to cheer me up. You made it through cancer and motorcycle accidents, only to be killed in a car accident, WTF !!! You were truly a good friend who got me through many bad days, this one stings. Ride free my friend , tilWe meet again

Randy’s childhood friend Robert Nance also took to his Facebook for a heartfelt condolence. He wrote,

His nephew Kearson Ulosovich also poured a tribute to Randy through social media by stating,

Rest easy uncle Randy Hiller I always said you were indestructible with all the shit you’ve been through and survived, now it’s your time to ride all the Harleys and drive all the muscle cars you want, we love you and we already miss you

Hiller’s friend and Lou Malnati’s finance department head, Debbi Archbold, also took to her Facebook and poured a small tribute. She wrote,

It was terrible waking up to the very sad news about Randy Hiller such a great guy, great friend You will be truly missed!!

Funeral and visitation times have not been scheduled officially by his family.

However, he will be remembered for his unforgettable contribution while playing basketball for Mather High School.

Randy Hiller Survived A Tragic Motorcycle Accident

On September 24, 2022, while going on a ride with Joe Rill, Randy Hiller, aka Batman, was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident, and he was the only one to get injured.

Thankfully, there was a retired paramedic on the scene to revive him. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was airlifted to Loyola Medical.

He suffered multiple spine fractures, a fractured clavicle, broken shoulders, 17 broken ribs, both lungs punctured and bruised, a laceration on his kidney, and a fractured tibia.

His spinal surgery was successful, and he remained at Loyola in the ICU until he could breathe independently.

While he was in the ICU, visitation was restricted. However, after several difficult months, Randy Hiller fully recovered.

The fundraising campaign for Randy’s sister Doris Hiller Ulosovich was made on GoFundMe Dee Milenkovic.

Every donation went directly to Randy’s sister, so she had the money to pay the medical bills.

Earlier, Randy suffered from stage 4 colon cancer. He thanked Dr. Bowler and Northwestern Hospital in Downtown Chicago for saving his life.
