Former El Paso Gridley Middle School ParaProfessional, Jamie Kay Schlipf Passes Away at 53, leaving her husband four Children behind

A Tragic loss!

Jamie Kay Schlif, who served 16 years as a ParaProfessional at the El Paso Gridlley Middle School, has passed away at the age of 53, surrounded by her family at her home.

A Resident of Gridley, Illinois, she was born on October 25, 1972, and was married to Jason Schipf.

The couple married on January 11, 1998, and had four children together: Kaylynn, Kollin, and Kelsie.

A graduate of Roanoke – Benson High School and Illinois Central College, she truly loved all of her students at El Paso.

She was also a faithful Christian who served over three decades for the Lord, and often known for enjoying simple yet meaningful things.

The unfortunate demise has left her family, close ones, friends, and community members in sudden grief.

Community Sorrows

Many individuals have offered tributes and condolences for the late Jamie, who always brought a bright smile, even during tough times.

John and Nancy Hoobler’s combined message read, “Thinking of your family at this sad time and sending caring thoughts of sympathy. I never saw Jamie when she wasn’t smiling. “

Imma Talbert wrote, “Thoughts and prayers to the family. So sorry for your loss.” Debbie Stauter added, “So sorry to hear about Jamie. Prayers to her family.”

Some were left absolutely shocked. Debbie Stauter was left shattered, “Omg. What happend? Do you know?”

Other individuals also offered prayers to the family. Nick Nelson wrote, “Rest in peace, Jamie.” Mary Janssen added, “Praying for you and your family.”

A few colleagues also remembered her professional work and how she was as a person. Ron Henkelman has a few great things to say about Jamie. He wrote;

“A smile, a kind word, a hug for the kid who needed it, a behind the scene worker at all kind of school events, an extra dollar for the kid in the lunch line, a kindred soul, a Mom, an Aunt, a sister, a wife, and an angel looking down on that little grandkid she would have spoiled. Jamie was one of the reasons EPG was a great place to work. RIP”

An anonymous message also read, “Schlipf Family, We are so sorry for your loss. Jamie and her beautiful smile will be dearly missed at EPGMS. Your family is in our prayers.”

As a member of Gridley Apostolic Christian Church, her funeral will be held there at 10 A.M. on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

Whereas, the Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 3 to 7 P.M. and 9 to 9:45 P.M.
