The latest Amazon Prime Video series “FACEOFF: Inside the NHL” featured Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg and several other ice hockey players.
The second episode of the series, which premiered on October 4, showcased how Forsberg dealt with a painful foot injury and faced the tough mental and physical challenges of hockey.
His last season was also filled with precious moments as he and his wife, Erin Alvey, welcomed their son, Felix, and entered parenthood.

The duo exchanged their marriage vow on 23 July 2022, at Dunderry Castle in France. The castle is reportedly part of Erin’s family heritage and she played there as a child.
In an interview with People, the ice hockey player’s lady love said that it was particularly special to have grown up playing on the same steps where she was lucky enough to marry her best friend.
Similarly, the Nashville Predators forward described their wedding day as unbelievable from start to finish. He added that they couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.
He mentioned that all their friends and family had the best time together, and Erin looked more beautiful than ever before.
The bride walked down the aisle to an acoustic version of “Everytime We Touch,” performed by her friend, the German artist Cascada.
Erin Alvey’s father, Dr. Gary O’Sullivan, who is the hereditary chief of the O’Sullivan clan, escorted her.
In addition, friends and family traveled from over eight different countries to join them and guests were welcomed with champagne before the ceremony. It was a perfect fairytale wedding ceremony!
Filip Forsberg Met His Wife Erin Alvey Through A Mutual Friend
Forsberg and Alvey met through mutual, local friends at the Dave & Busters in Opry Mills Mall.
The athlete’s spouse, who is originally from Georgia, told the City Lifestyle, “He asked me there on a date two days after he’d gotten my phone number.”
As mentioned, Erin Alvey is a country singer and songwriter. She is known for her songs such as “Easy to Love” and “Tomahawk Love.”
Furthermore, the song “Easy to Love” is actually about the NHL star.
“Easy To Love practically wrote itself. I told my co-writers that Filip not only made me feel loved, but he made me feel ‘easy to love,’ and there was a big difference.”

Before meeting Filip, the singer wasn’t familiar with ice hockey since it wasn’t popular in Georgia.
The same goes for the ice hockey player; he wasn’t into country music either, and Erin had shifted her music style before they met.
Both have busy careers, which makes it hard to find private time. The country artist mentioned it was tough at first.
Filip signed an eight-year, $68 million contract with the Predators in 2022. On the other hand, the artist, who has shared the stage with big names like Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton, was on tours back then.
Now, she focuses on writing and recording in Nashville, and she enjoys being there for most of Filip’s home games.
The athlete’s spouse also added that he is very considerate about spending time together. They love going out to dinner, watching movies, or playing video games.
The off-season is when the married pair get the most quality time together. Erin and Filip both love Nashville for its community, restaurants, and opportunities.
They fell in love with the city separately before they met and have enjoyed growing that love together.
“We both think it’s the most wonderful place to live, work, and soon hopefully raise a family,” Erin further added.
