QB Matt Ryan 2019 Fantasy Outlook

#4 QB Matt Ryan 2019 Fantasy Outlook

Matt Ryan (Falcons)

6’4, 217 lbs

People are sleeping on former MVP Matt Ryan despite 8 straight seasons of over 4000 passing yards and playing in every game. Ryan did it again last year finishing with a stat line of 4924 passing yards and 35 TDs to only 7 INTs. He also chipped in 3 rushing TDs bringing his total to 38 on the season.

The Falcons brought back Dirk Koetter as offensive coordinator and he loves to air it out. With all-world receiver Julio Jones, second-year stud Calvin Ridley, and the underrated Mohamed Sanu, Ryan is set up with a very talented group of pass-catchers. The team also spent their first two picks in the draft on offensive lineman Chris Lindstrom and Kaleb McGary who should help the quarterback even more.

Maybe it was his “down year” of 2017 that is making him slip in drafts, but right now Ryan is a steal in drafts. He has about as safe of a floor as it gets and offers league winning upside. All he does is play every game, never missing a snap, and steadily puts up big numbers.

“Matty Ice” is in his prime, has a great set of skill players, and his offensive coordinator passes a ton. He’s a bargain.
