QB Baker Mayfield 2019 Fantasy Outlook

#6 QB Baker Mayfield 2019 Fantasy Outlook

Baker Mayfield (Browns)

6’1, 215 lbs

Baker was the first overall pick in last years draft and once he got his shot, he tore the league up. The former Heisman Trophy winner plays like his hair is on fire and he’s a biter on the football field. The sky is the limit for Baker, who finished last season with 3725 passing yards with 27 TDs and 14 INTs in only 13 starts.

The Browns have been the league’s punching bag for a long time, but with the addition of Odell Beckham Jr., Cleveland looks to doll out the punishment this year. ODB is one of the most electric receivers in the game and his addition alone should push Baker up your draft board. The Browns also still have a solid Jarvis Landry and a specimen in tight end David Njoku.

Offensive Coordinator Freddie Kitchens was credited for the turn around on offense, and now he’s the head coach which helps Baker’s outlook. Mayfield drops dimes and his accuracy for a rookie was outstanding. The only knock against him is maybe his size, and the offensive line is not elite, but every other box is checked.

His numbers as a rookie were really good, he’s got a young tight end ready to break out, and now he’s got ODB. Sign me up!
