Fantasy Football Week 15 TE Rankings

#2 TE George Kittle 2019 Fantasy Outlook

George Kittle (49ers)

6'4, 250 lbs

Kittle absolutely exploded last season and set an NFL record for yardage by a tight end with 1377 yards. He's a freakish athlete than ran a 4.52 forty at the combine and the timed speed shows. While a 3rd-year breakout is a real thing in fantasy, it's kind of hard to "break out" coming off a season with a stat line of 88 receptions for 1377 yards and 5 TDs.

Kittle had this monster of the season while playing with three different quarterbacks. If Jimmy Garoppolo is the real deal he could dominate again in 2019. The Niners don't have a stable of proven pass catchers on the roster and Kittle is the lead dog in this offense.

He's already one of if not the best tight end in the league, and he's only getting to get better. While 1377 is a hard number to hit again, a progression in TDs is definitely in play. Head coach Kyle Shanahan is an offensive guru who feeds the ball to his tight ends and this offense should be better in 2019.

Kittle has a really high floor and if starts to get more red-zone looks the sky is the limit. While he will cost you a second or third-round pick, it's hard to ignore last years stat line. He's a stud and I would take him over Zach Ertz all day.
