Demi-Leigh’s half-sister, Franje, was born in 2006 to her father, Bennie, and her mother, Elzabe Peters.
Franje was born with an infrequent condition called cerebellar agenesis, where the brain formed without a cerebellum. Sadly, she passed away on May 4, 2019 at 13.
According to the National Institutes of Health, the condition is characterized by an underdeveloped cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls movement.
Demi shared the sad news on Instagram and wrote,
