Dot Richardson And Bob Pinto Transformed Softball Together

Dot Richardson and Bob Pinto have been married since 2001. Like Dot, her husband has significantly impacted the sport as a coach, mentor, and leader.

Bob has dedicated over three decades to developing players at every level, from youth travel ball to professional softball.

Bob Pinto’s coaching career spans 34 years, with experience at the collegiate, high school, travel, and professional levels.

He began as an assistant coach at the University of New Haven before moving to Adelphi University, a Division I program.

In 1993, he took over as head coach at LIU-Brooklyn (now LIU Post), leading the Blackbirds to a 24-13 record in his first season. Over two years, his teams compiled a 44-34 record, demonstrating his ability to build competitive programs.

Beyond college softball, Bob coached at five high schools, starting as an assistant at Greenwich High School in Connecticut.

His most notable high school success came at Montverde Academy in Florida, where he served as co-head coach from 2012 to 2013.

Under his leadership, the Eagles made back-to-back FHSAA Regional appearances, won a district championship in 2013, and finished third in the 3A state semifinals.

Moreover, his influence extends far beyond the dugout. Since 1998, he and Dot have conducted coaches’ and players’ clinics worldwide through the Dot Richardson Softball Series.

Bob and Dot Richardson’s marriage is a true partnership built on a shared love for softball, coaching, and faith. Their clinics, camps, and ministry work have impacted countless players and left a lasting legacy in the sport.

Bob Pinto Initially Didn’t Believe In God

Bob Pinto grew up in the church but didn’t honestly believe in God for much of his life. Even though surrounded by faith, he had never personally accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

However, things changed in 2009 when his father passed away. The loss led him to a turning point, a moment of surrender and faith that transformed his life.

Since then, Bob has developed a deep passion for serving the Lord.

He is particularly driven to unite champion athletes of influence who love Christ, using their platforms to spread the Gospel.

Bob seeks to inspire others to embrace the hope and truth found in Jesus through sports and personal testimony.

Meanwhile, his wife, Dot Richardson, is a bold believer who openly shares her faith. She is a child of God and a princess of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

She has accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, who has her heart and soul.

Do you know that He loves all of us SO MUCH that He came to earth to give His life as the “Perfect Lamb,” the ultimate sacrifice needed to cover our sins. When Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and on the third day rose from the dead, conquering death, He paid it ALL for us so we can truly live in freedom, truth, and life everlasting – an eternal life with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; our God. I believe in Him, trust Him, live because of Him, and for Him.
