Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, one of the team’s few bright spots this season, suffered a knee injury early in the fourth quarter of the Cowboys’ Monday Night Football loss against the Bengals.
Multiple players rolled him up while he was trying to wade through the muck and make a tackle, and his right knee was pinned under the scrum of bodies.
Overshow, who missed his entire rookie season with a torn left ACL, was helped off the field by trainers and quickly ruled out.
After the match, Cowboys head Mike McCarthy labeled the injury serious, adding that the initial reports did not look encouraging.
Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons was reduced to tears when discussing Overshown’s injury. He said,
“He’s like my little bro,” “He don’t deserve that, he really don’t. To understand what he’s going to have to have to go through. … He’s so talented, the year he was having. I really don’t think it’s fair.”

Football linebacker DeMarvion Germanic Lee Overshown, 24, was born on August 13, 2000, in Tyler, Texas, to his father, Chad Jones, and his mother, Felicia Williams.

He was asked to return to Austin for practice to start his redshirt junior season, but his mother needed him.
To help his parents financially, he worked at a grocery store and unloaded trucks, earning $9.75 an hour.
Knowing his long-term goal, Felicia is grateful for her son helping her with the bills. She said,
Being young and having to step into those shoes at a young age, not being able to live a young adult life, you have to step into some men’s shoes a little faster than what you expect to,” “He was one of those kids.
