Emerson “Six” Colter, a well-known coach and youth leader from Crockett, is fighting a life-threatening pulmonary embolism in a Conroe hospital, and friends and family have opened a GoFundMe to cover immediate expenses.
The GoFundMe campaign, started by Candice Cooper, a resident of Crockett, Texas, is raising at least $3000 on behalf of Six and his family due to an urgent crisis.
Colter has been in the hospital for weeks with a severe pulmonary embolism.
What started as blood clots has gotten worse and spread through his body. Doctors are monitoring him closely and may perform a risky surgery.
Right now, he can’t work, and the family is left to deal with bills and day-to-day costs while he fights to get better.

He’s a dad to three kids, ages 4 to 20, and was about to start a new job before he fell ill. Beyond being a father, Six has spent years investing in local kids and sports.
Assist the Fundraiser Campaign for the Coach
The coach had dedicated his life to mentoring young athletes and creating numerous opportunities for children around Texas.
He leads the Houston County Track Club and coaches in the Houston County Senior Football League and the Houston County Basketball League.
Players, parents, and neighbors know him as someone who has always shown up for young athletes and families.
The GoFundMe will pay for the things the family needs now: medical bills, rent and utilities, basic living costs for the children, and expenses tied to his hospital stay, possible surgery, and recovery.
The goal, just under $3,000, is meant to cover immediate needs so the family can focus on Six’s care.
Those running the fundraiser are posting updates on the campaign page so donors can see how money is being used.
If you can’t give, organizers ask that you share the link with teammates, former players, local groups, and community pages.

Small donations and simple shares add up fast. This isn’t just about money. It’s about a community returning a favor.
For years, Six has given his time to help kids learn, train, and grow. Now his family needs people to help him through a hard stretch.
You can find and support the GoFundMe campaign to assist him in fighting the life-threatening illness.
The family appreciates every prayer, share, and donation as they face this critical time.
