Connor Simmons’ parents are devastated by the shocking news of Simmons’ untimely passing.
Purdue University Freshman Connor Simmons, 18, sadly passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, inside a room at Wiley Residence Hall. However, foul play is not suspected.

Moreover, the forensic pathologist found no significant trauma or injuries during the autopsy, according to the Tippecanoe County Coroner Carrie Costello.
Lafayette Central Catholic Junior-Senior High School posted on its Facebook page that Simmons was a 2024 graduate.
The school hosted a vigil at 6:30 P.M. on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Central Catholic, 2410 S. Ninth St. in Lafayette, to pray for Simmons and his family.

Connor Simmons was born in 2006 in Lafayette, Indiana, United States, to his father, William Summerlin, and his mother, Angela.
His father, William, is the full-time Chaplain at Lafayette Central Catholic Jr/Sr. High School.
Recently, Connor’s parents were spotted hugging each other during the event held for vigil and prayers at Lafayette High School following the untimely passing of Simmons.
A few hundred Lafayette School and Greater Lafayette community members gathered at McHale Gymnasium for a vigil and prayer.
William Summerlin said Simmons and his mother were the first to speak to him when Summerlin joined LCC two summers ago. He added,

Although Connor Simmons and his parents lived in the United States, his ancestors had a deep-rooted history with European heritage.
Therefore, Connor and his entire family hold American nationality and English-American ethnicity.

William, Angela, and the entire Summerlin family are mourning the loss of their beloved son.
