It’s been a while since we saw Khabib Nurmagomedov in action but tonight we finally got a taste of Khabib. Khabib vs Gaethje was the fight fans had to wait for longer than expected. Gaethje didn’t show any mercy to Tony Ferguson who was supposed to fight Khabib for the lightweight belt but Covid complicated things for the world of sports and the Khabib vs Ferguson fight never happened.

Coming to this fight Khabib was the undefeated and undisputed UFC lightweight champion and he was the bookies favorite. Gaethje, the underdog and interim lightweight champion with deadly lefty was many fans' favorite underdog...

Khabib vs Gaethje Round 1

It’s showtime! Both fighters started very defensively. No punch was thrown in the first minute of 1st minute of the fight.

Khabib’s swift punches cause problems for Gaethje, however, the contender is throwing some serious strong swings in the air.

This is all rounded fight both fights show their stand up skills with kicks and punches. Arguably, Khabib is chasing Gaethje but challenges punches landed a few serious punches.

Khabib succeeded in his 1st takedown attempt and clocked saved Gaethje from armbar submission.

Round 2

Gaethje’s coaching staff wants him to slow down and concentrate on more low kicks.

Late 1st round leg kick caused problems for the Champion.

Khabib deployed triangle choke and the fight is over!

Khabib didn’t give Gaethje much of a chance.

Khabib devoted this fight to his late father and now the undisputed Champion is 29-0. He is the GOAT no question about that!
