Matt Brown vs Saunders: Unexpected 2nd Round KO

It was a great technical fight. Matt Brown 21-16 and Ben Saunders  22 -12-2 were an ideal first preliminary card fight contenders.

Great technical fight mostly on the ground.

Saunders took down Brown with an awkward takedown, however, Saunders multiple triangles helped him to control the first round.

Saunders was switching his legs and controlled Brown. Slowly and steadily squeezing the stamina out of Brown.

It looked like Saunders had an upper hand in the first round.

Matt Brown learned from his mistakes early in the second round.

Big high kick with the right leg to Saunders glove led to a cut above Saunders' left eye.

Saunders wanted to bring the fight to the ground once again but was unable to control the situation for much longer Matt Brown did not allow Saunders to utilize his ground game.

Brown hammering Saunders early in the second round pressured helped Brown in getting overall composure.

Brown kept punishing Saunders until 4th minute of the 2nd round. The ref had to step in and reset the fight.

Saunders has not learned his lesson and went to the ground once again.

Brown having an upper hand took advantage of his opponents' lack of stamina and bleeding facial wounds.

Brown kept hammering Saunders until the ref called it in 4:55 - KO.

It took 2 years for Matt Brown to get back to the Octagon and he did it in style!
