NBA Coach Lenny Wilkens passed away at the age of 88, leaving behind a decades-long basketball legacy to his three kids, including the eldest, Randy Wilkens.
Wilkens was married to Marilyn Reed from 1962 until his death recently.
Following his six decades of marriage, Lenny is the father of three children, Leesha, Randy, and Jamee.
While not much detail about his kids is known, it is reported that Randy is the oldest among all three.
According to Randy Wilkens’s Facebook profile, he currently serves as the Director of Youth Development at the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
He has previously worked with the Pacific Rim Sports Summit and also served as Vice President of Marketing at the Lenny Wilkens Foundation.
Randy studied Psychology at Santa Clara University. Randy is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and he is originally from Bellevue, Washington.
Among the seven grandchildren of Lenny, Randy has three daughters, while the other three are believed to be from Lenny’s daughters.
Randy has been married to his wife since 2004, which is evident from the anniversary post he shared on Instagram.
The details about Lenny’s two daughters are not disclosed in the media, but they both appear to be married and have families of their own.

Wilkens was one of the few to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame both as a player (1989) and as a coach (1998).
As a player, Lenny appeared in 1,077 NBA regular-season games, averaging 16.5 points and 6.7 assists per game.

On the other hand, as a coach, he left an even larger mark: he became the first coach in NBA history to reach 1,000 victories.
Following his recent demise, many have expressed their sympathy and shared tributes, remembering his decades of inspiring leadership and mentorship in the NBA.
He is now survived by his wife, three children, grandchildren, and all the admirers who have known Lenny for years.
