On March 4, 2023, Stephanie filed a criminal complaint against her then-boyfriend, Rogelio Reyes, popularly known by his stage name, El Cuatrero.
Reyes is a former AAA World Trios Champion known for his Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre work.
In her complaint, Vaquer stated Reyes choked her and threw her against a wall. The physical abuse was over an argument over messages he was sending to an unknown person when dating Stephanie Vaquer.
Furthermore, during the fight, a painting was said to have fallen and hit the female wrestler, causing further injury.
On the police report Stephanie filed, she then ran to her bedroom to call the police, while Cuatrero fled the scene before medical arrived.

Following the incident and investigation, police arrested El Cuatrero and charged him with domestic violence and attempted femicide on March 10, 2023.

It has been over a year since his arrest, but the verdict has yet to be finalized while El Cuatrero is still in incarceration.
