Pleasant Valley senior running back Titus Andrus suffered a severe lower-leg injury late in the season finale against Shasta.
The Vikings won 38–7, but Andrus left the game after a 25-minute delay and was taken by ambulance.
He dislocated his ankle and fractured his fibula, which will require surgery and months of recovery, including a minimum of two months in a cast. Entering the game, Andrus had 1,518 rushing yards for the season.
Andrus shared a personal note on a GoFundMe page about the injury and recovery, saying football has been “my passion, my purpose, and my path forward,”.

Despite trying his best for the entire season, a small moment in the game changed everything for the teenager.
He also added, “I’ve never been one to quit. Every setback I’ve faced has only made me hungrier to improve and grow. This injury is no different — it’s just part of the journey. I’m working toward recovery with the same drive I bring to every game, and your support helps fuel that comeback.”
