Earlier, in 2006, he played with the San Antonio Spurs during the NBA’s summer league and pre-season, but he did not make the regular season roster.
He has since played for Hapoel Gilboa/Afula in Israel, Verviers-Pepinster in Belgium, MEG Goettingen, and Artland Dragons in Germany.
After retiring from basketball, Lee worked on Wall Street for Merill Lynch. Later, he left Wall Street to chase his dream and became the head coach of the Charlotte Hornets.

Charlotte Hornets’ coach Charles Lee was married to his wife, Lindsey Lee, a development officer at Bucknell University.
The pair met while studying at Bucknell University, where Lindsey played for the women’s basketball team, and Charles played for the men’s team.
According to Lindsey’s LinkedIn profile, she graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree in 2006 and served as vice president at Merrill Lynch from June 2006 to May 2012.

In 2012, Charles told Lindsey he wanted to get into coaching and leave Wall Street.
Lindsey looked at him like he was a little crazy, but she quickly supported him and sacrificed her career to allow Charles to follow his journey.
Lee said Lindsey allows him to go out and live his dream because she does a phenomenal job with the kids and home.
With his wife’s support and a strong family structure behind him, Charles feels he can conquer just about anything.
Once, Lindsey and Charles went for a date night and attended a Dan + Shay concert at the PNC Music Pavilion. They went with a bunch of other couples and rented a Sprinter van.
Charles mentioned that it was probably one of their funniest nights so far.
Charles Lee And Lindsey Lee Shares Three Daughters
Charles Lee and Lindsey Lee were blessed with their first daughter, Corinne Lee, 11, in 2014, who is currently studying in fifth grade.
The pair had their second daughter, Vivian Lee, 9 in 2016, currently in third grade.
After two years, in 2018, the couple gave birth to their third daughter, Josephine Lee, 7, who is currently in kindergarten.
His daughters play soccer for Charlotte Soccer Academy. When Lee is not at the gym, he attends one of their games or takes them to practice.
