We were interested in everything, but we definitely were bigger Phillies fans, In fact, my youngest son and I were at Game 5 of the 2008 World Series when the weather happened. He had to go back to school, so we drove back and never got to see the end

Years later, when Joel was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers, it was a proud and emotional moment for his father.

Furthermore, Joel had two special guests on his NHL debut match against the Vegas Golden Knights in 2019.

His parents made the drive from their upstate New York home to Philadelphia in 4 hours and 15 minutes to watch their son’s first match at the NHL.

It was already a memorable moment for him as he stepped onto the ice for the first time in his professional career.

Moreover, his parents attendance in his debut match added a special touch to the occasion, making it even more memorable and meaningful for Joel.

This also showcased the support of his parents, who have always been with him every step of the way.

Joel’s father, Dave Farabee grew up in Warminster. Being a passionate fan of Philadelphia sports teams, he naturally passed this enthusiasm on to his children.

He attended Archbishop Wood Catholic High School and then graduated from Niagara University.

Dave is a business owner and president at the DAF Office Networks Inc., which specializes in providing a wide range of office products.

On the other hand, Joel’s mother, Pam works as a nursing supervisor at the Upstate Medical University.

Both of Joel Farabee’s parents are accomplished professionals with demanding careers. Yet, despite their busy schedules, they have skillfully maintained a balance between their work and personal lives, ensuring they are always there to support their family.
