He was diagnosed with cancer on January 14, 2013. After chemo, he started mixed martial arts and P90X workouts.

Stuart Scott’s Girlfriend, Kristin Spodobalski, Cared For Him Every Step Of The Way
Stuart Scott and Kristin Spodobalski started dating in 2013 after Scott had been diagnosed with cancer. They had an age gap of 23 years, but that didn’t hamper their relationship.
She was by his side throughout 2013 and 2014 as his health declined, and he was unable to continue working.
On December 8, 2014, colleague Suzy Kolber led the crew in an emotional tribute to Scott, urging him to “keep fighting”.
Kristin was quick to tweet at Kolber and thanked her for the tribute.

Sportscaster Stuart Scott Was Married For 14 Years To His First Wife Kimberly Scott
Stuart Scott was married to his ex-wife, Kimberly Scott, in 1993. Sadly, they divorced in 2007 after spending 14 years of married life.
According to the complaint filed in 2018, Kimbely still owed money from the split that had been part of his 401k.
Kimberly first sued Disney and Fidelity Workplace Service, accusing them of paying the trust money owed to her. She said they handed the trust $162,899.04 that was due to her.
Follwing the divorce, Scott was ordered to pay his ex-wife $162,899.04 plus interest from his Disney Savings and Investment Plan 401k Account.
However, Stuart passed away without ever complying with the divorce decree to transfer the $162k.
Kimberly attempted to collect the money after his death but was told the money was already handed out to his estate.
Scott and Kimberly had two daughters, Sydni and Taelor Scott. They are accomplished professionals who have kept their father’s memory alive through the Stuart Scott Memorial Cancer Research Funds.
Sydni graduated from Columbia University and was a 2022 Rhodes Scholar.
She was introduced to the world in 2014 when her dad called her up to the ESPY stage for a hug after he received the 2014 Jimmy V Award.
Sydni has been an ambassador for the V Foundation, a cancer research fund. She also collaborated with media teams to create content for the foundation.
On the other hand, Taelor Scott is a filmmaker, producer, and director who has written and directed three short movies, including Mod Squad and the Spectacular Paper Caper, The Ballad of Chocolate Mabbie, and the Baltimore Whoosh.
She attended Kingswood High School from 2009 to 2013 before enrolling at Barnard College to study Anthropology.

Stuart Scott was the reason I watched Sports Center. The guy was as “cool, like the other side of the pillow”, which was one of his signature lines. RIP
