Colin And Rebecca’s Marriage Is Deeply Intertwined With College Football
While not much is known about their relationship and marriage, Colin and Rebecca share a blissful marriage intertwined with the world of collegiate football.
Rebecca and the children are often featured on Colin’s active social media, where the family is seen attending games to cheer on their patriarch and his players.

Catherine, the eldest, was born on May 16, 2017.
Isabel was born on March 8, 2022.
Christopher was born on March 17, 2024.

Colin Began Coaching In 2009
Hitschler’s coaching career began in 2009 as a training camp assistant with the Philadelphia Eagles.
He then served as a player personnel assistant for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2010.
In 2011, he transitioned to collegiate coaching at Salve Regina University as the co-special teams coordinator and defensive line coach.
The following year, he joined Widener University as the special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach.
His trajectory continued upward with a graduate assistant position at Arkansas State in 2013.

From 2014 to 2017, Hitschler was part of the University of South Alabama‘s staff, initially as a graduate assistant, then as director of football operations, and finally as safeties coach.
During his tenure, safety Jeremy Reaves earned the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year award.
He Joined Cincinnati In 2018
In 2018, Hitschler joined the University of Cincinnati as a defensive quality control coach, later becoming a senior defensive analyst and then safeties coach.
In 2022, he was promoted to co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach, contributing to a defense that led the American Athletic Conference in multiple categories.
In January 2023, Hitschler accepted the co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach role at the University of Wisconsin.
A year later, he transitioned to the University of Alabama, serving as co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach.

However, in January 2025, reports indicated that Hitschler would not be returning to Alabama’s coaching staff for the upcoming season.
