Birmingham Iron vs SD Fleet Playoff Marquee – Who Makes Statement?

STL Audio Post

The Birmingham Iron come to San Diego to face the Fleet today and the playoff implications for the 3-2 teams are huge. Yesterday the last two undefeated teams came up on the wrong side of the win column and playoff positions are there for the taking. All you have to do is reach out and grab that brass ring. It’s called winning football.

The Iron bring RB Trent Richardson and his anvil style of running in the red zone as he leads the Iron in touchdowns and the league in RB receiving yards. Stop Richardson, you stop the Iron. The Fleet “should” have the tools to do that on defense but they need to keep showing improvement in the WR corps to take the pressure off of their high-flying defense.

The San Diego Fleet have played their best ball in the second half and Mike Martz will have to continue his half time wizardry against a tough, balanced Iron team today in San Diego.
