Fran Brown, an American football coach at Syracuse University, shared an interesting post-game ritual of not having time to shower after the loss, figuring out what went wrong, and focusing on the next game.

After the 2014 recruiting season, Rivals.com named him a top recruiter in the American Athletic Conference.
Fran’s deep recruiting ties in South Jersey helped him become Syracuse University’s 31st head coach on November 28, 2023. According to the 247Sports, their 2025 recruiting class is ranked 14th overall.
Moreover, he has also worked at Georgia, Rutgers, and Baylor.

Teara helped the former cornerback overcome his depression after his release from the Cincinnati Bengals, shattering his aspirations to play in the NFL.
Due to embarrassment, Fran struggled and didn’t wish to be around people. Football was a tool to feed his true passion and transform young men’s lives.
However, his career turned around when he joined the Temple Owls as their director of player development.
We thought about the opportunities that he could have in the future and how much further he could go with his career and how many lives he could touch, and I just knew it was a great opportunity, and I was like, ‘We’ll be fine.’
Teara shared her confidence.
Teara helped Fran to acquire quarterback Kyle McCord for Syracuse University. She was in school, and her clinical was becoming an RN before she became a nurse anesthetist.
She knew Kyle’s father while working at the hospital and kept telling Fran about Kyle while he was in middle school.
Furthermore, the married couple had three children: two sons, Fran Jr. and Brayden, and a daughter, Ivy Ann.
Fran Jr. followed in his father’s footsteps and pursued an athletic career. He plays linebacker at Saint Francis University.
Fran Brown Turned His Moment Of Shame To Enlightenment
Fran Brown played two seasons in the NFL, and his pivotal moment in life came when his playing career was over.
In 2008, he was broke and couldn’t afford to take his son, Frannie, to McDonald’s. Instead, he made an excuse that it wasn’t good for him and took him home to eat.
The moment of shame became his enlightenment and spurred him into action to renew his purpose in life.
He started working three jobs: environmental services manager at the University of Pennsylvania, substitute teacher, and trainer of kids on the gridiron.
He left looking for a path back to football, but Rhule, whom he remained close to, encouraged him to watch for coaching opportunities.
Later, he began coaching at Paul VI Catholic High School, moved to the Temple Owls football team, and became co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach after eight years.
He wants to see everybody eat, be happy, and shine.
I’m trying to do this for every kid that thinks they got no way out. If I have a chance to give them that ticket to get ’em in, come get it with me; and if they can’t get it with me, I’m going to show them how to go get it.
