NFL Sideline Reporter Kaylee Hartung Gets Playful “Future Husband” Joke From Fan In 2015 Twitter Exchange

Hartung admitted that after leaving ESPN, she missed the sports world and was "surprised" when she received a call from the Amazon Prime team.

As Kaylee Hartung wrapped up her sideline reporting duties for Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video, she was surprised with a heartfelt birthday message from the host Host Charissa Thompson and colleagues.

With a warm smile, she expressed her gratitude before signing off, clearly touched by the thoughtful gesture.

Highlights

  • A fan, Curtis, joked that the camera crew was doing it wrong. Whoever was on the screen should have been Kaylee Hartung, not Calipari.
  • She was linked to former NFL quarterback and baseball player Tim Tebow in the past.
  • When Kaylee Hartung was only 10 years old, her father, Joe Hartung, tragically died in a plane crash.

Throughout her career, Kaylee Hartung has worked as a reporter and contributor for prominent outlets like CBS News, ESPN, CNN, ABC News, and NBC Sports.

In July 2022, she was named the sideline reporter for Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video.

This year, Kaylee Hartung covered the AFC Wild Card game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, where the wind chill dropped to nearly minus 30 degrees.

During the game, Hartung wasn’t taking any chances with the cold. She wore a massive pair of gloves that seemed more suited for a polar explorer than a sideline reporter.

People couldn’t help but joke that she must have accidentally picked up a pair of men’s gloves since they looked so oversized—almost like she was wearing oven mitts on national TV.

Kaylee Hartung Has Been Mum About Her Personal Life

On February 15, 2015, a playful exchange took place on Twitter between fans and Curtis (@Curtos07), who seemed to be a big Kaylee Hartung fan.

It all started when @heelsrule1988 (Jordan) tweeted about Curtis’s frustration over a camera zooming in on Coach Calipari instead of the real focus.

The camera should only be focused on her, not Calipari. Doing it wrong,
@espn

Curtis

Whoever was on the screen should have been her, not Calipari. Consequently, Curtis joked that the camera crew was doing it wrong.

The conversation took a fun turn when @heelsrule1988 suggested Curtis update his Twitter bio to reflect his true love: Kaylee Hartung,

@Curtos07 or “future husband of kaylee hartung” hahaha

Jordan

Curtis then responded with a hilarious twist, saying he might as well rename his account to “KayleeUpdates,” fully embracing his admiration.

Jordan even joked that Curtis’s bio should be a simple declaration: “I tweet about all of the above (and Kaylee Hartung).”

However, Kaylee Hartung has kept her personal life private, whether single, married, or in a relationship.

What is known, however, is that in the past, she was linked to former NFL quarterback and baseball player Tim Tebow.

The two reportedly dated for a while, but their relationship was never a central focus of their public personas, and they kept things relatively low-key.

Kaylee Hartung Was Born To Parents Julie Tucker And Joe Hartung

When Kaylee Hartung was only 10 year-old, her father, Joe Hartung, tragically died in a plane crash.

“I remember seeing the plane hit the ground, and my first thought was, ‘We need to get him to a hospital. How fast can they get him there? Will he need to learn to walk again?’ I couldn’t imagine that he might be dead. It just didn’t seem possible.”

It took time for the reality of the situation to set in, and as the shock wore off, she began to understand the depth of the loss.

Kaylee Hartung shares a close and loving bond with her mother, Julie Tucker, who is remarried to Larry Tucker.

Julie is incredibly proud of her daughter’s accomplishments and often celebrates them on social media.
