So, Paul George was puzzled when asked about the boos he received, especially after spending five seasons with the Clippers.
He explained that he had been a free agent, not demanding a trade or causing conflict with the team.
The Clippers had offered him a deal, and he made the best choice for him at the time.
He acknowledged and appreciated the cheers he received, as those were the fans he played hard for.
However, he didn’t understand the boos, both in this game and when he returned to Indianapolis.
But, as he put it, that’s just part of sports. He said he looks forward to next year, knowing there will probably be more boos when he returns to the arena.
Well, after spending five seasons with the Clippers, Paul George signed a four-year, $212 million max contract with the Philadelphia 76ers in the summer.

Nonetheless, Paul George said he had no hard feelings toward the Clippers for not re-signing him.
He praised his strong relationship with team owner Steve Ballmer and president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank.
George noted that his connection with Ballmer and Frank had been misinterpreted, clarifying that they were “awesome” throughout his entire time with the team.
He admitted that how things ended was surprising but still valued his partnership with the front office.
For George, one of the standout aspects of his Clippers tenure was his positive and supportive relationship with the organization, which he called a refreshing experience.
Somehow, it didn’t go well with fans.
Similarly, a Clippers fan trolled Paul George with the comment, “Take off No. 8, you ain’t Kobe.”
In July, Paul George shared why he chose to wear No. 8 with the Philadelphia 76ers, saying it was a tribute to basketball legend Kobe Bryant.
He explained that Kobe was his version of Michael Jordan and that his love for basketball started because of him.
By wearing No. 8, George wanted to honor Kobe’s impact on his life and career.
