American sports commentator Kirk Herbstreit revealed that he was diagnosed with Blood Clots in his Lungs and ankles in April 2022.
ESPN’s College GameDay analyst, Kirk, revealed how his outlook on life changed just four short months ago.
It started as a calf pain, which he thought was a pull. It then turned into a pain on the right side of his chest.
According to the cardiologist’s report, the pain was followed by shortness of breath. Doctor said,
“Your heart arteries are crystal clear, look great,” “But, you’re not going to believe this: You have clots in your lungs.”
Kirk followed up with a scan of his calf, which revealed additional clots. Herbstreit added,
“Somehow they got into my bloodstream, went through my heart and into my lungs,” “Once it got into the lungs, it’s like a dead end. They’re in your lungs, but they go through your heart. That’s where people die. … And so I was just like, ‘Damn.’ “
