Eli Holstein’s Parents Have Greatly Impacted His Athletic Journey

Eli Holstein, 20, was born on October 26, 2004, in Zachary, Louisiana, to White American parents, Scott and Amy Holstein, both graduates of Louisiana State University.

His father, Scott, now in his 50s, had an athletic career, lettering as a punter for the LSU Tigers in 1993.

Scott’s dedication to LSU football has strongly influenced Eli’s journey in sports, especially as he found success in college football.

In an interview, Eli shared the impact his success has had on his father and family,

“I got a text from my dad earlier talking about how awesome it is to see his dad’s name on the ACC Network, ESPN, stuff like that,”

The Pittsburgh Panthers quarterback further added that seeing how far they have come made him proud and emotional.

Moreover, the footballer’s mother has supported her son behind the scenes and supported his athletic journey since the beginning.

Through his achievements as a college quarterback, Holstein has made his family proud and continued their legacy in football.

Eli Holstein Got His Work Ethic From His Grandfathers

Eli Holstein and his entire family are from the United States and hold white ethnicity.

Holstein often shares how much inspiration and motivation he draws from his grandfathers, both from his mother’s and father’s sides.

One of his grandfathers grew up with little money and often needed help from the local church for food and clothes.

Although he had the chance to play college sports, he decided to care for his mother and younger sister instead, showing responsibility and sacrifice.

The footballer’s other grandfather worked in the salt mines in Missouri, trying to make a better life for his family.

Eli is proud to carry on their legacies. He feels he represents them on the field and in his name, Elijah Montgomery Holstein, with “Montgomery” honoring his mom’s family name.

Sadly, both of his grandfathers passed away in the last couple of years, but their lessons still inspire him every day.
