An American professional football quarterback, Andrew Gregory Dalton, 37, born on October 29, 1987, is playing for the Carolina Panthers of The National Football League (NFL).

A day after the tragic accident, Andy Dalton’s wife, Jordan Dalton, shared an Instagram post revealing the entire family’s health status.
Jordan thanked all the fans for their support and well wishes. She wrote,
Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton was involved in an automobile accident in Charlotte on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
Dalton, his wife, their three children, and a pet dog traveled west on Sardis Road near Providence Road, about seven miles from Bank of American Stadium, when the accident occurred.
Emergency medical personnel did not transport anyone involved in an accident to the hospital. His team’s medical staff is evaluating Dalton.
It is unclear who was driving Dalton’s vehicle or if any other vehicles were involved. He was fortunate to avoid significant injuries but suffered a sprained thumb.
The Panthers have not released any further injuries yet, so no official word is on Dalton’s health.
Dalton, a second-round pick by the Bengals, has thrown for 989 yards, seven touchdowns, and six interceptions while starting for the Panthers.
Head coach Dave Canales said Wednesday that Bryce Young will start Sunday’s game against the Broncos while Dalton recovers from the sprained thumb.
It will be Young’s first start since the first overall pick of the 2023 draft was benched heading into Week Three.
Dalton will try to practice later in the week and could be the backup this weekend.
