Dak Prescott, an American professional football quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, is in the spotlight for his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Sarah Jane Ramos, on October 18, 2024.
Head Coach Mike McCarthy benched him in the fourth quarter against the Detroit Lions due to his performance and avoid further risk of injury.

Rayne Dakota Prescott began playing football for the Buccaneers in Haughton High School and led Haughton to become the 2010 District 1-AAAA Champions.
As a true freshman, he played for Mississippi State and became the MVP of the 2013 Liberty Bowl, leading the Bulldogs to win over the Rice Owls.
He finished third in SEC history in total yards and fourth in total touchdowns.
Afterward, the Dallas Cowboys selected him in the fourth round (135th overall) of the 2016 NFL draft and signed a four-year deal.

Dak Prescott Was Benched For His Performance Not Due To Fine
The Dallas Cowboys struggled against the Detroit Lions in their sixth-week matchup at AT&T Stadium. Dak threw his second interception of the game in the third quarter, resulting in another Lions touchdown.
Later, he was moved to the bench, giving way to backup QB Cooper Rush and other second-teamers.

Dak was pulled early from the game to avoid the risk of injury to their highly-paid quarterback, as they had no chance of winning.
Mike pulled him out of the game after his second interception attempt to pass Jalen Brooks floated over the receiver’s head.
Lions defensive back Brian Branch made the catch and returned it inside the 4-yard line, bringing the score to 47-9 with 13:18 remaining in the game.
Dak threw 17 completions on 33 attempts for 178 yards before exiting the game.
He had his worst season game with a 42.2 rating after a win over Pittsburgh, where he threw for just over 350 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite a 70-yard solid kickoff return from KaVontae Turpin, the Cowboys needed help finding rhythm on offense and could not build the momentum.
Furthermore, Dak has already been benched and does not fear being benched at their next game in week 8.
He was fined $25,000 for his postgame comment related to the officials about the loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the 2021 season.
