Missouri HS Basketball Ava Wolfe, 19, Survived By Parents Josh And Brooke Wolfe

Climax Springs, Missouri: Ava Wolfe was one of the graduates of Climax Springs High School who lost her life in a car crash on Friday, February 21, 2025.

She was with her friends Jayden Butterfield and Violet Corado, returning from their alma mater’s basketball game when the accident occurred at an intersection with Highway 54, east of Nevada, Missouri.

Ava had a massive passion for basketball and played at Climax Springs High School in the Lake of the Ozarks area. She impressed the audience with her fantastic performance against Ashton.

Ava often attended several basketball games with her friends in their community. Unfortunately, she faced a car accident while returning from a basketball game on February 21 at 8 p.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 49-year-old drove a southbound 2025 Toyota Corolla from Camdenton with four ladies.

They reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and were struck by an eastbound 2015 GMC Terrain SUV driven by a 38-year-old male from Osceola.

Ava Wolfe’s Parents Mourns The Tragic Loss

Ava Wolfe, the daughter of Josh and Brooke Wolfe, was born in 2006 in Climax Springs, Missouri. Her parents named her Ava Grace Wolfe.

Her parents and the Climax Springs community are heartbroken by the tragic news.

Ava was among the sweetest and most beautiful girls in the Climax Springs. Her parents kept her in a daycare as a baby, and she was the happiest little girl.

Aside from playing, she was also good at coaching the girl’s basketball games. She wasn’t just a great player but also a great student.

Her community gathered and prayed for the Wolfe family during this difficult time. She was pronounced dead at the scene during the fatal car crash, and her body was transported to Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, Missouri.

Ava’s parents will soon announce her memorial service and celebration of life. To honor her legacy, they might raise a donation instead of flowers.

Last evening, after attending an away basketball game, three recent Climax Springs graduates were involved in a fatal motor vehicle accident. Ava Wolfe, Jayden Butterfield, and Violet Corado. Ava and Jayden were both beloved employees of the District, who dedicated their time and talent to our students each day. As students, all of these individuals left a legacy within our school.  The District will host counselors for our students and staff on Monday and Tuesday of next week. As the families and our community grieve the loss of lives which held many great things ahead of them, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Ava Wolfe Was A Passenger In A 2025 Toyota Corolla 

A 49-year-old male was driving a 2025 Toyota Corolla with a 38-year-old female and three young ladies, returning home after attending a basketball game.

The driver drove past a stop sign and hit a GMC Terrain heading eastbound. Thus, their Corolla traveled off the road and struck a fence and a tree.

The three young ladies were pronounced dead at the scene and transferred to Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.

The driver and 38-year-old female survived the accident but were seriously injured. Later, he was transferred to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, and she was flown to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

Officials reported that just four of the ten individuals involved in the collision wore seatbelts, and both vehicles were destroyed.

Furthermore, six people were injured in the accident, and four were pronounced dead. The Patrol didn’t identify any of the individuals.

The Climax Springs School District confirmed the names of the three young females on Saturday.

Moreover, a 38-year-old male who drove a 2015 GMC Terrain was also pronounced dead at the scene, and four other female passengers suffered several injuries.

The 39-year-old female who suffered serious injuries was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, and others with moderate injuries were taken to Nevada Regional Hospital in Nevada.
