Gillie Da Kid confirmed a known street rumor that Noah Scurry, the 17-year-old hooper, was the one responsible for killing his son YNG Cheese in 2023.

Approximately 20 shots were allegedly fired at the Philadelphia native just a day after Scurry released a diss track against his “opps,” as reported by Fox29.
His death remains under investigation, with the suspect not being caught.
CBS and NBC Philadelphia reported that Noah was shot multiple times on the 5000 block of Tacony Creek Park and Roosevelt Boulevard.
He was taken to the Jefferson Einstein Hospital and was pronounced dead at 7:37 am.
As per Fox29, Philadelphia Police believe that a white Jeep Cherokee was allegedly used in the shooting where two shooters jumped out of the vehicle to attack Noah.
Hours after Scurr’s death, the district announced that all men’s basketball games for the week had been canceled.
Spokesperson Monique Braxton described Scurry as a star student-athlete, and the principal, basketball coach, and school community were devastated.

Gillie Da Kid, the “Million Dollarz Worth of Game” podcast host, was on “Club Shay Shay” on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, proudly repping his Super Bow-Winning Eagles.
But the podcast took a turn when Shannon brought up Noah Scurry, who was gunned down in January 2025.
Gillie Da Kid said that the bullets that killed his rapper son YNG Cheese weren’t meant for him. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time during a drive-by in June 2023. Gillie added,
“The 17-year-old basketball player that just got shot 17 times…That’s who killed my son,” “The only reason why I know is because the police called me and told me once he was murdered…He was walking with his mom. And he got murdered. And then the police notified me and let me know that he was one of the kids that was pretty much about to get locked up for the murder. But he got murdered first.”

He added that the police notified him that Noah was his son’s killer and Scurry was close to being arrested and charged with the crime.
Gillie also noted how he saw basketball star Noah being influenced by the streets while moonlighting as a drill rapper in a Joker mask.
He rallied against Noah’s upbringing and said,
today’s youth only knows what’s put in front of them … which can be dangerous street life in many instances.

Scurry released his first solo drill song on YouTube on January 13, 2025, and was shot and killed the very next day.
Gillie Da Kid’s Son YNG Cheese Was Killed In Triple Shooting
Devin Spady, aka YNG Cheese, the son of Philadelphia rap artist and podcaster Gillie Da Kid, was killed in a triple shooting Thursday night in June 2023.
As per the reports, the shooting occurred on the 5800 block of Mascher Street in the Olney neighborhood at 8:24 pm in Philadelphia.
Spady was transported to Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:39 pm after being shot in the back.
The two other victims, a 28-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, were also transported, who survived the incident.
Police have not made any arrests in the case as the investigation remains active and ongoing with the Homicide Unit.
Gillie’s co-host Wallo confirmed the news of YNG Cheese’s death on Instagram, sharing photos of the late musician.
