Katie was a standout Louisville Cardinals women’s volleyball team player.

During her time there, she was a three-time all-conference selection and played a key role in her team’s successes.

Paolo, two years older than Katie, graduated from Louisville in 2012 and was drafted 27th overall by the Montreal Impact in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft.

However, only three months after his relationship with Katie began, he opted to move to Germany and signed with Eintracht Frankfurt, where he played in the 2012-2013 season.

Katie And Paolo Married In A Beautiful Winter Ceremony

In 2020, Paolo proposed to Katie during a ski trip to Breckenridge.

Their 2022 winter wedding festivities lasted for two days, including a cocktail party and a beautiful winter ceremony attended by close friends and family.

In an interview with Inside Weddings, Katie said,

We love Beaver Creek… We committed to the winter-wonderland idea and chose a truly magical place. Rather than getting married in Louisville, Kentucky, we wanted our guests to experience something they never had. Only a handful of our guests had been to Beaver Creek, so for 200+ people, they created a new memory with us.
