His father, a farmer, had always dreamed of seeing his son succeed in athletics.

While he didn’t have many details, he said that Gleaton, a young man loved by many, is fighting for his life.
Kris also mentioned that Gleaton’s family is struggling and holding onto hope for a miracle.

Gleaton Jones is a freshman running back from Albany, Georgia, standing 6’1″ and weighing 200 pounds.
He attended Deerfield-Windsor School, where Jake McCrae coached him.
During his senior year, he earned All-State, All-Region, and All-Albany honors and received similar recognition as a junior and sophomore.
In addition to football, Gleaton was involved in track and basketball and earned Presidential Honors throughout all four high school years.
In 2022, Deerfield-Windsor School’s Cross Country/Track and Field program congratulated alumni Garrett and Gleaton Jones, who were both part of the 2021 College Football Playoff champion Georgia Bulldogs.
Gleaton was also a four-year dedicated team member and qualified for the GHSA state championship in the shootout.
