Isaac Wingington’s parents are Paul and Angie Wingington.

Good afternoon my sweet praying family . Isaac Wigington had his surgery this morning to re open everything and check on bacteria and fungal , blood flow and the conclusion is not what we wanted to hear but like you know I trust God first and then my dear doctor, after much prayer and research about all this bacteria/fungal stuff they will have to amputate above the knee next week .

She explained that the infection came from his bones being exposed in the accident and the subsequent trauma that followed.
Angie further added that Isaac was leaking spinal fluid from his lumbar drain. She concluded,

As of the latest updates, Angie announced on December 8 that Isaac has an upcoming knee surgery in the morning.
She thanked everyone who had been praying for her son. She concluded,
it’s 77 days of heartache, I am trying to pray for God’s mercy and kindness to be with Isaac . Love to each one

In one of her posts, Angie explained that while Isaac is in a critical condition, he is not in a complete vegetative state since he does respond to certain stimuli and occasionally squeezes her hand.
Since the accident, Angie has listed numerous complications, such as small intestine obstruction, irregular blood pressure, abnormal white blood cell count, inflamed bile ducts, potential infections, pneumonia, irregular heartbeat, and occasional fever.
However, she remains positive and hopeful.

After a couple days of nausea and fatigue after the shunt , Isaac Wigington seems to feel better today.. so encouraging, it is just the little things.. we are thankful , God is working even when you don’t see it ! This we can see and it’s wonderful
