The hall of famer footballer was in a relationship with his ex-partner, Elizabeth “Libby” Offutt, for nearly 20 years.

Moss began dating Libby Offutt in high school in West Virginia, where Libby was a promising swimmer.

Their relationship garnered both positive and negative attention, given Moss’s status as one of the finest athletes from the Mountain State.

When Libby got pregnant with their first child, Sydney Nikale Moss, while still in high school, their relationship made headlines for some of the wrong reasons, but they continued to build their family together.

They welcomed their first child, daughter Sydney, on 6 March 1994. The ex-couple was finishing high school at the time.

During Randy Moss’s NFL career, his daughter Sydney primarily lived with her mother, Libby Offutt, and her maternal grandparents in St. Albans, West Virginia.

The Former Couple Had Four More Children

Moss and Offutt’s second child is their son, Thaddeus Mekhi Moss, born on 14 May 1998.

Thaddeus played football at North Carolina State University and later transferred to Louisiana State University.

There, he set the record for most receiving yards by a tight end during the 2019 national championship season.

"I've always had to prove myself my whole life. Having the last name that I've had, I've had to prove everybody else wrong, or prove myself right," according to USA Today Thaddeus said during a 2020 video news conference.

Randy Moss’s son went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft but signed with the Washington Commanders and later joined the Cincinnati Bengals.

However, Thaddeus did not see much on-field action and eventually retired from professional football in May 2024 after playing for the Birmingham Stallions and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

He joined Randy Moss onstage during his 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame induction, visibly moved by his father’s speech.
