Colt Brennan’s Girlfriend, Shakti Stream, Faced No Criminal Chargers For The Accident She Caused
Born on August 16, 1983, Colt was just 37 years old when he passed away on May 11, 2021, due to ingesting fentanyl.
Brennan was indirectly involved in a severe car accident through his then-girlfriend, Shakti Stream, which had life-altering consequences for all involved.
On November 19, 2010, Stream’s Toyota 4Runner crossed into the opposite lane of Queen Kaahumanu Highway in North Kona, colliding head-on with Dr. Theresa Wang’s Saab sedan.
While Stream and Brennan were treated and released from separate hospitals, Dr. Wang sustained severe injuries.
The injuries included three spinal fractures, an injury to a blood vessel to her brain that caused paralysis, swelling of the brain and a coma, four or five broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and broken bones in both arms and legs.
The accident led to a civil lawsuit against Stream filed by Dr. Wang’s attorney, citing reckless driving as the cause of the collision.
While no criminal charges were brought against Stream due to insufficient evidence to prove negligence beyond a reasonable doubt, the civil case sought accountability for the catastrophic impact on Dr. Wang’s life.
Dr. Wang’s husband, Dr. David Chen, expressed disappointment in the lack of criminal charges but emphasized their primary focus remained on Wang’s recovery.
Despite her progress, Wang has not fully returned to her pre-accident status.
